OATMEAL CRISPIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. rolled or quick oats
1/2 c. nuts, optional
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together first 5 ingredients. Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture. Mix until smooth. Add oats and nuts, 1 cup at a time. Refrigerate (is best if you can refrigerate overnight.) Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yield 3 dozen.
