LASAGNA 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1 can whole tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1 med. onion, chopped
1 sm. green pepper, chopped
1 can mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
1 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 c. Ricotta cheese
Lasagna noodles, cooked
1 small can V-8
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Brown hamburger and sausage. Drain. Stir in whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Set aside 1/2 cup of sauce mixture.

In lasagna dish, place 3 noodles on bottom. Pour 1/2 of the remaining sauce overr the noodles. Spoon 1/2 the Ricotta cheese ove the mixture, then sprinkle 1/2 the Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top. Add another layer using 1/3 of the noodles and the remaining sauce and cheeses.

Put one more layer of noodles on top of that. Pour the 1/2 cup of remaining sauce mixture over the top of the lasagna. Then pour the V-8 around the sides and top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; uncover and continue to bake for 30 more minutes.
