FARM HOUSE COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening or butter 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda 4 tsp. baking powder 4 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. nuts Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, continuing to beat. Add sour cream and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll out fairly thick on floured board. Cut with large cutter. Place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. These cookies should be large, soft and thick. |
