QUICK MANICOTTI | |
1 lb. ground beef 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese 1 tsp. seasoning salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. chopped parsley SAUCE: 1/4 c. water 1 1/2 tsp. brown sugar 3/4 tsp. basil 24 oz. tomato sauce 3 tbsp. onion flakes 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. garlic salt Place shells in a dish. Cover with boiling water. Let sit 5 minutes. Rinse with cold water and set on end to drain the noodles completely. Brown beef with salt, garlic powder, pepper and parsley. After beef has cooled slightly, add cheese. Cheese should melt a little bit to hold the beef together when stuffing noodles. Combine sauce ingredients over medium heat until warm. Fill drained shells with meat, return to dish. Pour sauce over shells. Cook at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, covered. Put additional Mozzarella on top. Turn off oven and let the dish sit in oven until cheese melts. |
