NANA'S GINGER COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. powdered cloves
2 tsp. ginger
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. dark molasses

Sift flour, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, ginger and sugar. Cream Crisco and butter. When fluffy, add eggs (one at a time). Mix in molasses and dry ingredients. Drop in small lumps on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes. Cool before removing from the pan. These are very crisp.

Makes 6 dozen.
