PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS 
CRUST:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 c. butter, melted

FILLING:

2/3 c. cake mix
1 1/2 c. corn syrup
3 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease bottom and sides of 9" x 13" pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter and egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees until light golden brown.

Meanwhile, prepare filling. Blend all filling ingredients together except pecan for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour filling over crust and sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set. Cool and cut into bars.
