BOILED CUSTARD 
1/2 gal. milk
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
Vanilla to taste

Pour milk into double boiler and heat. Beat the eggs. Add sugar gradually and beat well. Pour egg and sugar mixture through strainer into hot milk, stirring well. Cook until the custard coats a spoon heavily, stirring constantly. Yields 8 to 12 servings.
