CHEROKEE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 can tomatoes
1 can mushroom soup
1 c. Minute rice
2 or 3 slices American cheese

Brown beef and add onion and cook until tender. Stir in other ingredients except cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Put cheese on top and cover until melted.
