BROILED PARMESAN POTATOES 
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 med. potatoes, bias sliced about 1/4" thick (thinly slice potatoes so they cook tender without burning)
1/4 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Stir together butter, basil, paprika, garlic powder and pepper. Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush butter mixture over both sides of potato slices. Broil about 5" from the heat for 8 to 9 minutes or until potatoes begin to brown.

Using a wide spatula, turn potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil for 4 to 6 minutes more or until potatoes are tender. Serves 4.
