WILLIAMSBURG POTPOURRI 
1 qt. dried flower petals
1 oz. ground cinnamon
1 oz. ground nutmeg
1 oz. ground cloves
1 oz. sliced gingerroot
1/2 oz. anise seed
2 oz. powdered arrowroot
Whole cloves, crushed
Cinnamon sticks, crushed

Mixed dried petals, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, gingerroot, anise seed and arrowroot. Store in covered jar. When company comes, place in an attractive bowl or dish. if left uncovered, occasionally add a few crushed cloves and crushed cinnamon sticks to the mixture to restore the fragrance.
