LUSCIOUS APRICOT BARS 
2/3 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Confectioners' sugar

Cover apricots with water, boil 10 minutes, drain and cool and chop. Grease 8"x8"x2" pan. Mix until crumbly, butter, sugar, and 1 cup flour. Pack in pan and bake 25 minutes.

Sift 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat brown sugar into eggs, add flour mixture, vanilla, nuts and apricots. Spread over baked layer and bake 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares and dust with confectioners' sugar.
