BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. bran buds or raisin bran
1 c. applesauce

Mix and let stand 10 minutes.

1 egg
1/3 c. oil
1 tbsp. molasses
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix the above and add to bran mixture. If raisin bran is not used, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup raisins for sweetener. Bake in muffin tin at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
