4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cocoa
1 c. blackberry jam
1 c. raisins
3 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk

Beat egg yolks, put in soda, sugars and butter. Add cinnamon, cloves, allspice, nutmeg and cocoa. Beat egg whites, add jam and raisins and flour and buttermilk alternately. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake in pan until done. This recipe is over a 100 years old.
