LEMON SAUCE WITH ANGEL FOOD CAKE | |
1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. Healthy Choice Cholesterol Free Egg Product 4 c. assorted fruit (such as sliced kiwi, berries, mandarin oranges or grapes) 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 1 pkg. (10 oz.) angel food cake (cut in 8 slices) In small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water, egg product and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil and thickens. Let cool. Top each cake slice with 1/2 cup fruit, drizzle with lemon sauce. Serves 8. |
