HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
3 1/2 lb. potatoes 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 lb. bacon 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. vinegar 1 c. sour cream Chopped parsley Boil potatoes. Peel warm. Slice onions. Fry bacon and lift from skillet. Use 1/4 cup bacon fat. Stir in flour. Add sugar, butter, salt, pepper, vinegar, and 1 cup water. Cook easy and remove from heat. Stir in sour cream. Add potatoes, onion, and 1/2 of bacon. Toss gently and sprinkle with the rest of bacon and parsley. Serve warm or cold. |
