HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 lg. potatoes
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 c. water
1/2 c. cider vinegar

Boil potatoes with skins on. Cool. Then peel and slice. In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and in bacon grease fry chopped onions until soft. Stir in sugar and flour. Salt and pepper. Mix well.

Gradually stir in water and vinegar. Boil 1 minute then add potatoes and bacon. Simmer over low heat until ready to serve, the dish should simmer for at least 30 minutes to thoroughly blend all the flour.
