ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
5 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening (use low speed of mixer)
2 c. buttermilk

Combine yeast and warm water. Place in bowl flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening, use low speed of mixer. Add buttermilk and yeast mixture to flour mixture.

Mix all ingredients together and knead 5-6 times on floured board. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut 2 inches biscuits. Place on greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until double.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 minuets or until brown. (If desired, bake 10 minutes. Cool and freeze. Heat through and brown to serve.) Makes 4 dozen.
