CHIEF NOOGATUCK'S CRANBERRY NUT BREAD | |
2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 tbsp. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. orange juice 1 c. chopped cranberries 1/2 c. chopped pecans Grease and flour a loaf pan. In a large bowl sift together the flour and baking soda. In a separate bowl cream together the butter and sugar; then beat in the egg and salt. Alternately add the flour and orange juice to the creamed mixture. Mix well after each addition. Fold in the cranberries and pecans. Turn into the prepared pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Makes 1 loaf. |
