1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
18 marshmallows, cut in half

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together then stir into creamed mixture. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and press 1/2 marshmallow, cut side down into each cookie. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Remove and cool. Frost.

ICING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. butter
4-5 tbsp. milk

Combine and beat until smooth.
