1 qt. raw cabbage
1 qt. cooked beets
1 c. grated horseradish
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Mix thoroughly. Cover with cold vinegar. Seal in fruit jars. Will keep indefinitely.
