LUSCIOUS CHERRY DESSERT 
2 c. HI-HO or Ritz cracker crumbs
1 stick butter, melted
4 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 can Wilderness cherry pie filling
1 lg. Cool Whip
Chopped pecans or sliced almonds

Mix together cracker crumbs and melted butter. Pat in bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pyrex dish. Next beat 4 egg whites stiff add 1 cup sugar, beat until dissolved. Spread over crumbs and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool well, overnight. Spread the cherry pie filling on top of meringue. Then spread Cool Whip on top of cherry pie filling. Sprinkle nuts or almonds on top. Refrigerate overnight. Very tasty!
