GRANDMA BEHMER'S ANGEL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and shortening and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Roll into small balls using 1/2 teaspoon per cookie. Dip the top into water then into sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
