BAKED CLAMS 
1 pt. cleaned clams
1/2 c. salad oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 c. dry bread crumbs

Combine oil, salt and onion. Place clams in mixture for 1 minute. Remove and drain, then roll in cheese and then in bread crumbs. Place in a well-greased baking pan and bake in a hot oven, 450 degrees for 12 minutes or until nicely browned. Serves 6.
