3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 beaten egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. hot water

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg, then 1/2 cup dry ingredients. Add hot water; mix well and stir in rest. Divide dough in half; add 2 ounces of melted chocolate to one half. Roll each out 10"x12". Place 1 on bottom, brush with hot milk and top with other. Roll together, chill, slice and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
