APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
1 can (20 oz.) apple pie filling
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter, softened
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. coarsely chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter, melted
Glaze (below)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Mix pie filling and cinnamon, reserve. Beat flour, sugar, milk, 1/2 cup butter, the baking powder, salt and eggs in large bowl on low speed, scraping constantly 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently, 2 minutes.

Pour half of the batter into pan. Spoon half of the pie filling mixture over batter in pan, repeat. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts, drizzle with 2 tablespoons butter. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes. Cool slightly. Drizzle with Glaze. 12 to 16 servings.

GLAZE:

3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter, softened
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 tsp. hot water

Beat all ingredients until smooth and of desired consistency.
