QUAKER BISCUITS 
3 eggs, separated
6 c. flour
3/4 c. lard and butter mixed
1 yeast cake
1 pt. milk

Prepare a dough sponge of the above ingredients and set about 2 1/2 hours to rise. Roll out thinly, cut into round biscuits, brush each with melted butter. Pile in stacks of two - one on top of another. Let rise another hour. Then brush tops with yolk of egg mixed with milk. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.
