HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
4 med. potatoes
6 slices bacon
2/3 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
2 to 5 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seeds
Dash of pepper
2/3 c. water
5 tbsp. vinegar

Boil potatoes in their jackets. Peel and slice thinly. Fry bacon slowly in skillet. Drain on paper towel, crumble. Saute onion in bacon fat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in water and vinegar. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir potatoes and crumbled bacon in. Remove from heat, cover and let stand until ready to serve.
