1 pack (8 oz.) cream cheese, soft
1/4 c. soft butter
1 box cake mix, vanilla or yellow
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Mix in 1/2 of cake mix, egg, vanilla until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoon about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
