BLACKBERRY - APPLE PIE 
4 c. blackberries
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
Pastry for double crust pie

APPLE PIE:

6 c. apples
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 to 2 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
1/4 c. butter
Pastry for pie (double)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together all ingredients, except butter, adding lemon juice to apples if they lack tartness. Spoon into pastry lined pie plate. Place butter by slices over the top of the filling. Place top part of crust and seal the edges. Cut a few openings into the top center of the pie. Bake for about 45 minutes or cover edges with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
