QB'S NEW ORLEANS STYLE SHRIMP
SALAD
 
1 lg. onion
1 lemon, halved
1/2 c. salt
5 or more garlic cloves
1 bag crab boil (any crab boil will do)
2 lb. med. size shrimp

Using a large pot 3/4 filled with water bring all ingredients except shrimp to a full boil for approximately 15 minutes. Add shrimp to the boiling water and cook 10-15 minutes. Turn stove off and let all ingredients sit for 20 minutes.

Cool shrimp, peel and cut in half. Add 2 stalks celery, cut thin. Add 3/4 cup of mayonnaise (add more if too dry). Salt and pepper to taste. Overnight refrigeration enhances the flavor!
