GRANDMA'S GINGER SNAPS | |
3/4 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. molasses 1 tsp. dry powdered ginger 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. water 1 egg, beaten 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon Granulated sugar Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and water. Beat until light and fluffy. Add molasses. Add flour sifted together with ginger, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Chill. Roll into small balls and drop in granulated sugar to coat ball. Bake approximately 15 minutes in ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees. |
