MY MOTHER'S COOKIES | |
4 1/2 c. flour 1 c. shortening (1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. lard) Beat together well. 2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda in 5 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Stir thoroughly and add to first mixture. Mix and knead until dough is smooth. Put on lightly floured board and roll out about 1/8-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheet in hot oven for 10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen. |
