RUSSIAN TEA COOKIES (CAKES) | |
1 c. soft butter 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/4 c. flour, sifted 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts Mix butter, sugar, vanilla thoroughly. Blend flour and salt and stir into butter, sugar mixture. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Let cool slightly. Roll again. 4 dozen. |
