SOUR CREAM CORN BREAD 
3/4 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. shortening, melted

Mix all ingredients just enough to blend. Pour into greased 8-inch square pan and bake in hot oven (425 degrees) about 20 minutes.
