SOUR CREAM CORN BREAD 
3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. shortening, melted

Mix all ingredients just enough to blend. Pour into greased 8" square pan and bake in hot oven, 425 degrees, about 20 minutes.
