OLD - FASHION GINGERBREAD | |
2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. butter, soft 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. molasses 1 c. buttermilk Sift flour, salt, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon together into mixing bowl. Cream butter until light and fluffy. Add sugar to butter gradually, beating well after each addition. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in molasses. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Mix until smooth after each addition. Pour into buttered and floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes until done. |
