HOMEMADE BREAD 
5 c. warm water
2 tbsp. yeast
7 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening

Combine ingredients and add flour until it handles easily. Let raise 1 hour.

Separate into fourths, knead each one well. Let rise 15 minutes. Knead well. Let rise in well greased pans until double. Bake 30 minutes in 400 degree oven.
