AUNT ROSE'S HOMEMADE BREAD | |
5 lbs. Robin Hood flour 5 c. water (warm) 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. oil 2 tbsp. salt 1 lg. cake yeast Put flour in pot and make a well. Add sugar, salt and oil. Dissolve yeast in water and add to well in flour. Mix until all the flour is used. Knead until dough is smooth. Let raise until doubled in size. Punch down and let it raise again. Make 4 small buns and place side by side in a loaf pan (13 x 4 1/2 inches). Let raise an hour and bake at 350 degrees until nice and brown about 60 minutes. |
