OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
2 1/2 sticks butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. oatmeal
2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop rounded tablespoons full onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
