HERBED GARLIC - CRUSTED FILLETS | |
1 lb. fresh or thawed fish fillets, drained 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/4 c. butter 1 to 2 cloves garlic, crushed or minced 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs 1/2 tsp. dried leaf basil 1/2 tsp. dried leaf oregano 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes OR 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Place fillets in a single layer in a 12 x 8 inch micro-proof or oven-proof baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Microwave butter in small micro-proof bowl or custard cup on HIGH for 45 seconds or until melted. Add remaining ingredients; mix well with fork. Spoon carefully over fish fillets. Cover dish with paper towel; microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Remove paper towel. Place dish under conventional broiler to brown and crisp crumbs, about 1 minute. Serves 3 to 4. PER SERVING: Per 1/4 recipe: 247 calories, 22 grams protein, 12.7 grams fat, 10.4 grams carbohydrate, 49 milligrams cholesterol, 287 milligrams sodium. |
