ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 
2 (16 oz.) cans cut asparagus (drained)
1 1/2 c. Waverly Wafer cracker crumbs
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 jar Old English cheese

Melt butter. Add flour and milk; heat until it starts to thicken. Add cheese; heat until soft consistency. Melt butter. Add cracker crumbs and mix. Place 2/3 cracker crumbs on bottom of baking dish. Layer asparagus on top of crumbs. Cover with cheese sauce. Sprinkle almonds, then the rest of the cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
