NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tbsp. vinegar
6 tbsp. water

Mix flour and salt in bowl; cut in shortening. Beat egg, add vinegar and water and add to flour mixture. Stir until it forms a ball. If desired, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and 2 teaspoons sugar may be added. Keeps in refrigerator for several days.
