YAMS AND APPLES 
1 (29 oz.) can yams in syrup
3 baking apples
3/4 c. brown sugar
butter

Arrange yams in round glass baking dish with lid. Peel apples and slice as for a pie. Place apples over yams and sprinkle brown sugar on top. Dot with butter and pour syrup on last. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
