CHOCOLATE - MINT COOKIES | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, egg and unsweetened chocolate. Stir in flour and salt. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten each with greased bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake until set, about 8 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. Spread peppermint frosting over each cookie, drizzle with chocolate glaze. PEPPERMINT FROSTING: 1/2 c. 10X sugar 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract 1/4 c. butter, softened 3 tbsp. milk Mix until smooth. CHOCOLATE GLAZE: Heat over low heat until melted. 2 tbsp. corn syrup 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips |
