PECAN CRISPIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. flour

Thoroughly cream shortening, butter, and sugar, then add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, then pecans. Drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart on greased cooking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
