APPLE NUT PUDDING 
Cream:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs

Sift together:

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Add to creamed mixture. Stir in 4 cups apples, peeled and diced and nuts. Bake 350 degrees for 55 minutes in 9x13 pan.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk (or water)

Cook until well blended. After pudding has set for a while, punch holes and pour topping over it. Serve with Cool Whip.
