SKILLET COOKIES 
1/4 lb. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cut dates
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. quick rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Place in a large skillet or saucepan. Heat this to a thick paste, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles (5 to 10 minutes). Add next 4 ingredients and mix until smooth. Cool slightly on wax paper. When cool enough to handle, make 2 rolls and cover with coconut or powdered sugar. Roll in wax paper and place in refrigerator. They may be sliced as needed.
