SALTY STRAWBERRY DESSERT | |
3/4 c. butter, melted 3 tbsp. sugar 2 c. pretzel sticks, crushed (nut size) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 c. sugar 1 (8 oz.) envelope or bowl whipped cream 2 c. hot water (boiling) 2 pkgs. strawberry Jello 2 pkgs. frozen strawberries or 1 qt. In a 9 x 13 inch pan, put crushed pretzels. Drizzle butter and 3 tablespoons sugar on top. Mix and press into pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool. Cream sugar and cream cheese and fold in whipped cream. Spread over cooled pretzel mixture. Dissolve berries in Jello and 2 cups boiling water until thick. Spoon over cheese layer. Refrigerate. Serves 15. |
