COWBOY BEANS 
4 stalks celery, sliced
3 onions (2 chopped and 1 sliced thin)
3 bell peppers (2 chopped and 1 sliced thin)
4 tbsp. bacon drippings
3 lb. ground beef
6 oz. can tomato paste
2 cans tomatoes (or 1 can tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce)
1 can kidney beans
1 can navy beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can Great Northern beans
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. red pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Brown celery, chopped onions and chopped peppers in bacon grease. Remove and set aside. Brown beef. Combine vegetables, beef and remaining ingredients in a large crock pot. Simmer for 1 hour. Seasonings may be altered to taste.
