STUFFED PEPPERS | |
3 lg. peppers 1 med. onion 1/4 c. butter 3 med. tomatoes 4 slices bread 6 oz. Longhorn or Cheddar cheese Salt and pepper to taste Cut peppers in half and remove seeds. Cook in boiling water for 5 minutes. Chop onion and saute in butter. Chop and mix together tomatoes and bread cubes. Add onion, salt and pepper. Fill pepper shells. Put in shallow pan with water in bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Place slice of cheese on each pepper, return to oven to melt cheese. |
